Flow chemistry has found growing applications in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.  Behind each success no doubt the information accumulated by micro space reactions contributes.   In this lecture, I would like to discuss our recent efforts to develop the flow unit reactions having an industrial potential including photo flow reactions.[1] I also discuss a topic on ultra minimum organic synthesis, in which we rely on a droplet as microreactor space. In Figure 1, the condensation leading to flutolanil, a systemic fungicide supplied from Nihon Nohyaku Co. Ltd. by droplet reaction is given.

Also, the use of flow technology in the development of a manufacturing method for napabucasin, which has potential in the treatment of colorectal and pancreatic cancers will be presented.
